Post 88 911 Signature Cab

My 911 Cab has 55K on the odometer and runs
fine. There is some seepage on the rear main seal, I'm told this is a very labour intensive repair, 70 hours plus. Seem excessive, any feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks for the reply Keith! Let me ask another question; there are no oil spots at all on the floor of my garage and the oil level has remained constant. Is this type of leak something that you can live with and watch, or will driving cause damage. The seal
is moist underneath, but not spotting the floor. My friend is of the opinion that it is something to keep an eye on but not do the repair until there are more noticeable evidence. Thanks very much for your information.
