Default Need advice for my 1985 Carerra

I need a advice where is the best place to have the AC system replaced (hoses and all, less theh condensers unless they prove faulty. I also need to recover the Steering Wheel (leather "Pearl") and refurbish the Blaupunct Monterey radio / cassette (works but needs cassette belt repalced). All are original parts. I live in Western KY. Thanks Much , Joe

Can't help you on the A/C-you'll need local knowledge there.

Stay AWAY from AGLA for the recover, there's a thread here currently with a guy in Texas being recommended for wheel recovering.

For the stereo, try Stefan here, if he can't help you, you'll be looking for a used radio to cannibalize:

Welcome, now I need to give you a bad time for your first post not including any pics of the car.

Yeap: the pic?

Sounds like the stereo unit can be repaired (get the belt/parts).

AC service locations in your area will have to wait for the other chimers....(as Ed mentioned)

Steering wheel redos are abundent via Search.....others on the Pelican NG

Best,

Doyle

I completely replaced all of my ac components (everything!) with the Griffith's system including two condensers in the left rear wheel well and it is awesome cold in the Florida heat. Completely cool and comfortable in the mid to high 90s and high humidity.

I had the Blaupunkt Reno in my 928 repaired by Midwest Electronics (http://www.midwestelectronics.com/) and they did a fine job getting the cassette and amp working. Cost was a shade under $200 with shipping and insurance.

Hope this helps,

Geno
