Sounds very good. I hope it works out. I spent more for an '85 with a lot more miles and a lot less clean presentation. My fingers are crossed for you!
P.S. from what I have read, head studs are more common on SCs, but not out of the question on Carreras - just one of those things to check. Reading forums always makes one think that every car will have every problem!

Guess a day is too long to sit on these. That's what I get for due diligence. I can live with that though. Not meant to be I suppose.
He was kind enough to tell me he let it go for $16.5k. Sold it to an exotic car company. I'll be disgusted to see it on ebay for $25k. Oh, and searching through a***trader I found this car listed at his dealership for $15.9k, but the listing said it had 55k miles instead of the 48k he indicated. He did not make much profit.
