The porsche factory offers steering wheel recover kits. Not to many people know about it but a dealer should be able to get you what you need. It is an all inclusive kit for recovering the wheel of most any Porsche. IIRC, it is absurdly inexpensive. I could not belive the low prices on these kits. It's been a while since I had to source one of these, so if there is any latest info from other listers here, chime in.

Just got my wheel from Don and it is very nice. If I needed a wheel recovered I'd send it to Don.

I also just ordered a wheel from Don and I mentioned to him that he is highly regarded here at Rennlist.

I just wanted to follow up to say that Don's communication and speed of work are first rate. He sent pictures of the finished wheel as soon as he was able to. That man knows customer service.

my wife redid mine when the stitching came out ... did a great job . But if I could get a replacement kit for my car I would definitely have her do it again with a new kit .. with a cork interior my kit is brown i think .. at least it was before it all started to wear off some 30 years ago

I was about to send my wheel off to AG on the basis of another vendors rec when I came across this thread. Now I’m paranoid. Is Dallas Steering Wheel still the preferred wheel restoration specialist ? Tia,

That guy screwed a lot of people.

Use Dallas Steering Wheel. They do great work. My 993 wheel looks great.
