Question 3.2 Mods

What bolt on mods would I have to due to a 3.2 to give it some juice like the 3.6. I hear a mass flow replacement would give it some decent power..anyone w/ experience with the mass flow add on?.....also what should I expect to pay for a clean 3.2 with a G50 tranny?

Agent325 (sounds like a BMW spy!),
If you ARE buying a 3.2 G50, and then modifying it to run like a 964 - rather just buy the 964? Much cheaper anyway.

Plenty you can do to a 3.2. Spend approx. $20.00 and buy Bruce Andersons handbook, a must for any 911 petrolhead.

Depending on your local laws (state and club), the cheapest power would be exhaust and chip, then carbs, then cams, then EFI, then P+C for bigger cc and finally maybe a supercharger. Just remember that the above must be planned ahead. Add labour, bake for a long time, add cash and enjoy.

Any 911 engine mods are expensive, power + reliability = $ x $. I can't help with the purchase price estimate (too far away) but a CarreraG50 is normally priced between earlier Carrera915's and the 964.

The massflow upgrade can work, but to gain optimal power you'll need a better exhaust. I doubt the massflow alone is worth the cost.

Best regards, Tom.

Dear Agent whatever,
I agree with Tom. If you want 964 performance, purchase a 964,
