![Question](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/icons/icon5.gif)
I'm running S03s for the first time at Road Atlanta this weekend.
The max PSI indicated is 51. This seems very high. I am used to running 32/34 on my last set of Yoko Intermeds.
Any suggestions? By the why my size is 205/55/15s all around on a '77S.
Thanks.

I just put the Bridgestones on my 83SC and I used to run 32/28 on my old 205/225 B.F. Goodrich's.So far I am trying 34/36 on the Bridgestones,it seems to be working out, no problems, sticks like glue and pretty even wear.

Try the above link for some tips on pressure on S03's, I know you have S02's but this is as close as it gets !

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/hoosier/hoosier_tips.htm -another link to Hoosier tire pressure tips.
I don't know why I thought you had SO2's....coffee hasn't kicked in yet.
BTW, I run my hot pressures according to the guidelines from Hoosier based on the weight of the vehicle, typically running 41 lbs at all 4 tires. Sometimes I run an extra pound on the drivers side due to my weight, or if the track is run clockwise or counter clockwise I may run an extra pound on outside tires. Also note that Hoosier recommends -3 degrees camber for best performance. good luck !

I had been told by people with a lot more experience than me that 4 pounds over normal pressures was appropriate for track/autocross use.
According to the responses to this subject so far, this seems a little on the light side - any thoughts?

At track events it best to start 5-8 pounds over-pressure, run for a bit, and come in to check for wear. Too low and you can start to chunk street tires, so it is best to start high and lower a bit at a time until you find the right combination of stick and wear.

Thanks for the tips.
I started off with 40lbs as my hot target
I ended up running at about 35/38 lbs hot this weekend. It was around 90 degs. all weekend and two of us were driving.
Next time, I will probably take a little more air out, as I did not quite reach the side wear markers with the pressures above.
The tires heated up nicely and were more sticky than I have had in the past. So far I'm happy with them, we'll see how long they hold up.
Thanks again.
