The early 911s were reaching close to 200mph at Le mans in the early seventies without wings. The trick is to get the car as low as possible. Porsche went to a lot of work to get the cars low and still have the suspension do its thing. You know how a 911 looks w/out the motor in it; well the turbo tail adds ~400#s of down force at 125 IIRC. Otherwise you look like you don't have a motor at high speeds. Amazing what's been done with these cars and the men who engineered/drove them.

Nice set up Plavan-simple and purposeful as Dr. Ing intended.

I'm sure it is very quiet and subtle also...

The setup is very quiet. Not to get too far off topic, but there are tons of Porsche exhaust sounds-

I had my 15x7's on so my top speed was not 143mph this race- but close (Edit- I guess I did have the 16x7's on....just saw 143mph). There is a yellow flag (full course) in the middle of the race so you can fast forward a bit.

Sit back and enjoy the sounds.

Chad...very very awesome. Didn't have time to finish but will sit back and finish tonight. Very cool! The orange 914-6 had my attention.

Ask him to post some video of his "co-driver" (my driving instructor a couple of times) @ Willow a couple of years ago.....

Plavan, post the video of your co-driver, Ed's driving instructor. Is it in the same car? I think were off topic. I just get a kick out of early cars going really fast without wings. Oh... the exhaust sounds great.

Thanks. These old cars are fun and fast. Everyone should get on the track at least once in their lives.
You should see what is up my sleeve for next year....

Here is the video with my Co-Driver during an enduro

We did another DE with Patrick in October in Texas. I was fortunate enough again to do several laps in a "7" cup car with him at the wheel. He was a maniac sawing the wheel almost all the way around the track for a lap or so, turns included, cleaning the tires off and building a bit of heat. I noticed him doing that in yours on the first few turns.

Default 3.2 sound

Install a after market muffler. However to sound like FERRARI , you will have to wait for the new FERRARI flat six.

Crazy how the different drivers get results. Years ago we did a test session at Summit Pt. with Vic Elford and Hurley Heywood and the ride along was interesting as these guys were so smooth that one felt completely at ease riding - no drama at all and they are fast. Hans Stuck Jr. on the other hand is a maniac. He said "I get more bugs on the side windows than the windscreen".
