Default Clunking sound

Today I noticed when backing uop slowly and pressing the brake pedal there was a single "clunking: sound. Oh it is a Euro spec SC. On old muscle cars that was the limited slip moving. Now I do have the Guard limited slip in my 915 tranny, it is about 1 year and 3K miles old. I could not feel any play in the brake calipers or the CV joints. Some in and out movement in the half shafts which is normal. Don not hear it when stopping from slow forward movement. Need ideas. Merry Christmas Jack

Mine started doing that too, right after I had the brakes done. I don't know if it is what you are experiencing, as mine is more of a click as I apply the brakes in reverse. Mine sounds like the pads shifting in the callipers slightly. It does it once in reverse, then once again on the first brake application in forward.

cheers
