Default Anyone know of a reputable auto transport company?

Hi,
I'm searching nationally for a 911, and now that winter has set in, I may need the car transported to my location.

Does anyone have any references for a good, reputable auto transport company that will take care of my new toy without making me empty my bank account?

Thanks!

I used DeMoise Trucking to transport my RSA from the east coast to my house. I highly recommend them.

I just used FedEx Auto Transport last week to transport a 911 from Oregon to Northern California, and had a great experience with them. DeMoise and Intercity also have excellent reputations, but neither were available when I needed them.

Intercity is among the best, a Rennlist sponsor and sponsor of this forum. They may still offer discounts to Rennlist members but you'd need to verify that.

My last was intercity. Inclosed door to door is the only way. Very satisfied.

Thanks guys! So far, I have 4 quotes (sorry, I can't remember which is which):
Open trailer = $1200
Closed trailer = $2000, $2200, $2300

Each has different pros and cons, I suppose. I haven't made any deal on the car yet, so I'll keep these in my back pocket until something comes of it.

Thanks again!

PCNA dealer Porsche of Naples (PON) Florida had a 2008 Cayman S we recently purchased from them shipped from another PCNA dealer (Stevinson Imports) in Littleton Colorado via Waggoners Trucking:

Waggoners apparently has contracts with many 'high-end' automotive manufacturers (Porsche, Audi, BMW, etc.) for inter-dealer shipments. They did a great job and it was enclosed as well. Might be an option for you. I've attached a few photos of the carrier they used to deliver our car.

Best Regards,

Barry

There have been horror stories posted, including my own. However, it looks like the lesser evil is Intercity. With them, you know they will be the ones doing the actual transporting instead of some subcontractor. My story was about timing; the car came through beautifully.
