Default Whats my 73 911-E worth

I am possibly thinking of selling my 73-E and was wondering what it maybe worth? I bought it in Virgina in 82, silver sunroof coupe with factory sport seats , I would say it is a nice driver, could use paint and some leather cracking of the leather seats. Recent engine bebuild with new pis. @cyl. head studs , updated tensioners, +++++ fuel injection rebuilt by gus at pacific fuel inj. in CA. car still smokes at start up? ss heat exchangers, 6&7in alloys. It is now a RS look but can change back in 3hrs. Did not cut rear flairs. no winters. What do you people think. Thanks Bernie from upstate NY.

Hard to say. Lots of Pcars smoke on start up. My 72E did, but did not use oil. On the rebuild, did you do new bearings, how about the crank, brand of studs, etc? . Does it have mechanical FI or CIS? Mechanical is worth much more IMHO. 72 E's & esp S's are fetching pretty good sums, even now.

If you are a Porsche PCA member you can get a letter from them regarding current value for free. I just had them do one on my 912e.

Hard to tell from that brief description..But I follow the market closely and I sold one as well, still have an s, so the range is late 20's for a very rough non matching numbers ..., to high 60's for a super one..(their is one for sale now at mid 60's),

The real midpoint is late 30's to early 40's for a good car..

Post photos and descritption in early s regisrty forum and you will get a better underdtanding, they will be fair but honest...and their are some real buyers their..
Cheers

It can be tough to get a good estimate from any of the sites, there is a little bit of a conflict of interest for those shopping. It all come down to detials of particular car, rust, originality, condition, desirability of a particular model all play a very large role in determining valuation. Get car back to as original of a condition as you can, clean it up well, post some pics and we can help. With the dollar sinkin gin value it has brought the Euro buyer back into the fold.
