Default tire sizing for Fuchs

Fella's,
How wide can I go on my Fuchs. 1988 911. I have 225's on now but I heard we we can go to 245 with no problem. Is that ok

I think 245's will fit OK. I had them on my 88 Carrera once.

It depends on the wheels you have, at the extremes it also depend on the suspension.

for stock 7s 225 is about as wide as you want, for stock 8s 245 is about the limit

Good luck finding 245's. No one is really making them anymore.

Nice car!

I have 8x16 on the rear w/245/45 and 7x16 on the front w/2255/50. They fit just fine, no rubbing and no need to roll the fenders. Choice of tire is definitely limited, I have the 888s on mine, but for street tire, I think you can get TR1 or maybe the Hankook ventus rs-2 if you can find it.

I have the RS-2's. I would love to get another set but they are discontinuing them. The only sets I could find was Fuzions or Continental Sports. So now I'm thinking about 17's.

If you go with 205 front and 225 rear there are many more options. But I have 9" rears.

I am running 245's on my 9's at the rear with no problems at all. I bought them very recently. I use Bridgstone S02's. They are awesome tyres.
