New MAF and Dyno Results!
#16
Dyno results do not mean much without a before and after with AFR's for both.
My 3.2 w SW chip & bypass puled 217hp. Should we say my AFM combo is better than the MAF?
There are two advantages to comverting to MAF that can show up as gains on the dyno.
One is it should be less restrictive.
The other a tunning effect where the output translation from the MAF maping can effect AFR and ignition values in a positive or neg way.
With a stock chip I would hope that if there is a tunning effect it would be positive. If there is in fact a tuning effect, then if the MAF is matched with an optimized chip (SW or other), there could be a neg effect.
I would guess the MAF effect is probably going to be about 5hp on a stock block 3.2 in most cases to maybe 10hp. Any gain over that is probably from a tuning effect.
