I've been logging code 41 and 34 and I've had erratic idling problem when engine is cold. I checked everything from vacuum leak, clean ISV to Airflow meter replacement. Valve job and 10K major service just completed. Someone in Rennlist suggested to check coils by disconnecting the IM connectors one at a time and check the idle. When I disconnected the aft Ignition Module connector (leaving the fwd connector installed), I would hear a ping or misfire and when I switched the fwd connector to the aft IM the same ping and misfire occurs. On the other hand, the aft IM connector does not show pinging or misfires when installed or switched to either fwd or aft IM. Therefore did I isolate a problem to the fwd IM connector? Should or can I replace it? Am I over simplifying this ignition coil test? Any info is very much appreciated. Thanks.
