looking for porsche mechanic in or around central NC
I live between Charlotte and Greensboro in North Carolina and I'm looking for a good mechanic to maintain my 1978 911 SC. I've tried German Imports and they readily admit they can't handle the job. The Stuttgart Haus isn't answering their phones.

betilfan,
Carmine's import Service in Kernersville 336-993-5506 or 336-340-5386. As you probably know, Kernersville is between Gboro & Winston Salem. Carmine used to be the General Manager for a shop in Gboro then opened his own place about a year ago. I can attest he is honest to a fault. He worked on my 996, 1987 911, and currently works on my track car a 1998 M3 and my wife's Mercedes Wagon. His father bought a 1986 911 new, still owns it and Carmine does all the service on it. He's worked on a ton of Porsches. He will also work on my next air cooled 911 once I save enough money after this past financially crippling year!

Another option, if you don't mind driving 40 minutes east to Hillsborough is MillerSport. Chuck Miller is excellent with all Porsches, in particular the oil cooled 911s. Plus, he is only 45 minutes from VIR.

Thanks for the Kernersville contact. I'll give him a call today. Anyone else got anything?
And per The Ice Man's request, here is my ride the day I picked it up. Yes I know it's not a porsche color but I didn't paint it... yet.

I went with Carmine because of his location and the statement on his honesty. The guy turned out to be great. He did what he said he was going to do, he knew his ****, and he even called to tell me one item he previously thought was bad was a mistake and I could knock it off the bill. I'm going to enjoy this move up from VW's.

I know this is an old thread, I contacted Carmine in Kvegas and I have to say, I am very pleased with the way they presented them selves, the attitude and the prices were excellent. TY Kevin.
