IF you jack the car up high enough AND have big enough spacers on there (picture like 2" spacers), THEN the wheels will "fit" & extend out the front significantly. I wouldn't expect to turn the wheels very far.
I'm running 8" fronts on mine & they're pretty well flush with the front fender lips.
10" rears will require the modifications mentioned before IF you want them flush with the outer lip. Otherwise, stick 'em out like the fronts.
They are pretty wheels to be sure, unfortunately the older you go, the less these more modern wheels were designed to work with the cars.

Iceman is right...go ahead do your thing. Don't forget to take lots of pictures so we can all have a good time. But its your life...do it your way, you are after all in the land of the free (I think?).

This whole thing I find quite funny ... it's your car , I think you may have had your question answered wether it fits or not . How it looks and what your car looks like is entirely up to you. Who cares what a bunch of guys you don't even know on a forum think, for that matter who cares what anybody thinks, life is short go do what makes you smile ...

Hahah you guys are killing me. In all honesty, I'm pretty clean and subtle when it comes to modifications to my cars, even with wheels. Like I said, these wheels fell into my lap --even trade for some other parts I had no use for. As also stated, I would never go out and buy 19" wheels for a 1970 911....
I will be selling them off (only because they won't fit
) ... Any ideas where to post them?
*also, anyone have pics of an early 911 rs with an orange colored 'rs' theme? Or any orange fuch wheels?

Its your car. If you like it and it fits do it. Whether I would or wouldnt is irrelevant. However, part of my joy with Rennlist is the hazing and ridicule that comes with most of these guys. And by the way, you will have to do more modifing then I think you would care to do to make them fit.
