Considering this '88 Slant nose at Ambassador Auto Sales in Naples FL.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/COLLE...=p4506.c0.m245

How can I verify it's a true factory slant nose? Does anyone have experience with Ambassador? And finally, is it properly priced at $69,900.

Thanks!

The Option Code 505 designates a factory slant. The Option Codes are the small type on the sticker in the book starting with CO3 018 . . .

Steep price, however. Get an independent PPI !!

May I suggest you get in the habit of posting with a title that actually says something? You will find a better response rate when people see something that interests them, or that they wish to weigh in on.

Honestly, I entered the subject, " '88 Slant Nose question" but sometime during the post review, it went missing.

Never heard of Ambassador. Their verbiage is pretty cheesy, but the car looks pretty nice. The ad mentions "full front and side SRS"; if that means side airbags, I didn't realize Porsche offered side airbags way back in '88.

Good point. Will need to get clarification on that.

No airbags in 1988 or mine would have them.

Yeah, no airbags on this car or any 911 until 1990. It states 'slant nose option' on the CoA as well. Beautiful car!! They don't appeal to everybody and that kind of money can sure buy a lot of (different) 911s but if that's what you are looking for I don't think you'll find anything nicer Imho.

I'd say the car is well priced and worth it.

Too bad about the amp. I'm sure that can be fixed.

Look at BJ's prices. They are notorious for leaving money on the table for anything German. If its the real deal it could be a decent buy around that price
