Nikkoa,

You will have fun on this drive. There will be several groups, I'm sure that at least one will be going at a conservative pace. Group drives are a good way to enjoy your car however you feel comfortable.

Yes, it is a small one lane road but one of the most beautiful drives I've been on - and it was in a Ford Expedition! To think of driving that in a P-car is too wonderful for words. And to think I can't be there - argghh!

Be sure and sign up on the link Wayne threw up.....it's a very good bargain, in my opinion!

You know, I've been thinking. People have been killed on Palomar Mountain. I used to love to drive up and down Palomar Mtn. It must be dangerous, so I think I'll stop.

We "toured" Carmel valley Road in our Porsche along with our friends in their 89 Speedster. It was the most incredible, beautiful, fun time ever! Dangerous road?.......I would avoid that damn 405 through LA if I were you!

Well, I drive that mountain solo a whole lot different than I do with someone in the car. Also, driving like a fiend UP S. Grade Rd is a whole lot safer than driving like a fiend DOWN S. Grade Rd. When I was at the end of my MPSC's, and making a downhill run, I almost got to test the cliff thing twice before I came to my senses.

Iceman, before you do...please post a thread. We will give you some great routes to drive. The central California coast is beautiful. I posted some pics in the Father's Day drive thread in June. I don't want to overdo the safety thing, but I have seen enough gruesome wrecks on my twice monthly drive to the coast to agree with the safety sentiment completely.
