Brake Pads Opinions Needed please
Look for some first hand experience with Pagid Pads.
2007 GT3 RS Track (occasional street)
Black RS14 ?
Yellow RS29 ?
Any opinions on one over the other.
Have heard that RS14 will EAT your rotors quickly, specially if you use them on the street. made for RACE ONLY. Anyone confirm this.?
Or can you usethem on the street as well. Occasionaly.
Heard that Yellow is endurance pad... lasts longer, won't eat your rotors. And can be used on street as well.
Thanks for your advice guys.

JMHO,
Street cars should use street (OEM) pads for quiet operation and excellent cold response. Race pads are noisy and don't work as well when they are not at operating temperatures.
There is a big difference in friction coefficients between RS-19 (29) and RS-14, with the latter ones being much more aggressive. We usually use RS-19 (or 29) at all four corners in the majority of cases with some experienced drivers preferring RS-14's at the rear to add more rear brake bias.
RS-19 (29) are easier on rotors than RS-14's. Both Yellow pads need to be rebedded if the car sits around for a month or more.

excellent feedback.
While I totally undertand Race pads are not optimal for street, we only use it back and forth a few miles to work In betwee Race / DE Weekends........... to keep fuel moving, and oil moving, and battery charged....etc.
Will using RS14 on street destroy rotors.?
Someone said Slow stops (street driving) with RS14 is like cheese on graders... to the rotors.
