Default How much for a Euro 74 carrera?

Hi all,

Found a Euro 74 Carrera (matching numbers with 911/83 engine) in italy going for $50K does anyone know what current prices are in the US? assuming you can find one? It is currently yellow original colour being orange all original parts with car and some history with original tools no rust and pretty solid.
would of course have to factor in costs in bringing over.

Just wondering is this a decent deal and would there be demand here if i sold on eventually?

thanks

Sounds pretty good. There are two here in the States for sale. One in WI at 70 and one in CA for 80. I did a google search to find the CA one. Here's the WI car. http://www.2-shores-classics.com/gar..._id=92&lang=us Can't find the CA one right now.

^ In my opinion that is not close to a 22k car, a lot of issues there.

He's shopping for one with the 2.7 MFI motor, US cars all had a 2.7CIS motor, much different animal.

Gooner,

As you well know, the 1974 Euro 991 Carreras are very special cars since they carry the exact same powertrain and fuel injection system as the 72-73 Carrera RS. Top quality examples are currently listed in Germany (Motor Klassic Yongtimer magazine) at Euros 46,000 or aproximately US$ 64,000 at current exchange rates. Together with early year 911 turbos (3.0 versions), this is one of the most appreciating 911 model out there.

Good luck.

yes they seem to be going for around the 50K euro mark - so getting one potentially at 35K euro pretty good assuming car checks out . and orange original colour is pretty cool !

I drove the Carrera 2,7 in WI a couple of weeks ago and it is a blast to drive. It is a color change also from GP White to Silver and has a few cosmetic issues but all in all it is a very solid, original car. I think it can be bought for mid-60's USD so I would base your comparison on that price.

Is the interior original? Does it have a Factory supplied Ducktail too? For 50K Euro you should definately follow-up on it as it could be a very good buy if it checks out.

If you have photos please post them.

The '74 Euro is featured in Sports & Exotic Car. A '74 is on the cover. Good article, places the value at $90k, $60k and $40k for high, average, low, respectively.

Hemmings Sports & Exotic did a feature article on a 1974 European Carrera RS. They stated 1974-75 Euro-spec Carrera low $40,000 Average $60,000 & high $90,000.

think the car in WI sold for $65K - had done a PPI on it looked pretty solid but had no real history on the car .
