Panamera Launch in Australia
Greetings to Rennlisters,
I was fortunate to receive an invitation to the Panamera launch here in Australia.
In typical fashion Porsche Australia celebrated the event with a round-Australia jaunt. Two Panameras - an S & Turbo, supported by 2 Cayennes, one a diesel will travel the country wowing journos and the public.
The cars were lead off by one of the earliest RHD Porsches ever manufactured. This little car, an immaculately restored 356, entered and completed the REDeX Trial in 1953 over some of the roughest roads in this country. It recently featured in the September '09 Issue (#176) of Excellence so I will not re-hash its history other than to say that the 356 is such a sweet car. It is a tribute to its owner Ian Henderson's passion for getting thing right.
