Hello,I am getting ready to do my first oil change on my 1983-911SC that I purchased about 8 weeks ago, anyway I am normally a Valvoline guy but when I went to pick up the oil they did not have enough so I purchased Kendall 20w50 conventional oil,I know lots of SCCA guys use Kendall so I thought what the heck, any opinions? Thanks <img src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" border="0" alt="[cheers]" />

I have been using Kendall GT-1 in my 71 2.2 and have only great things to say about it. Here is a link to the re-formulation that I believe Walt posted awhile back (if its the same Walt)

If your engine seals will allow, spend the extra cash on Mobil 1, they make a 15w50 and 0w40 that should cover all applications. I believe that someone on this board posted an article on a comapro of synthetics and dino oils and Mobil 1 was tops in most categories of importance, even compared with "race" oils.
Valvoline and Mobil also make nice synth blends that I find work well in my daily driver.
