Default Need help with wipers run on their own

When I move the mirrors, run the windows, or toot the horn my wipers sometimes cycle sometimes run and wont shut off for a while an ideas on what the problem might be? I have checked the wiring and all is separated and not even on the same fuse. I would have thought the fuse panel work I did would have taken care of it but no joy the gremlin is still here. All help is appreciated.

had the problem years ago, replaced the wiper switch on the colum. recently my wipers started to occasionally run for no apparent reason again. probably the switch on the colum is going bad... again. I pulled it out and tried to clean the contacts a bit, but did not resolve. since my car is mainly track, I just pulled the wiper fuse.

in my case I do not recall working any other elec item in the car having any effect on wipers as you describe.

good luck.

Changed switch on column a while ago with what looked like a good used one very clean, I will look at that since the horn never used to cause this.
