What is a 1970 911E body (Straight no rust original paint in decent condition) with a good interior (dash and seats not cracked, carpet there but not the best) with a 1972 911S engine (I don’t know the size yet) custom mated to a 915 transmission worth? I am not a 911 guy so forgive the ignorance I am about to display with the questions sure to follow.

If its really rust-free, probably somewhere between 7k-15k. Whats the mileage on the car? Mileage on the engine & rebuild history. Does the owner have records & receipts for all work done?

The body is rust free. It has been sitting in a garage in Nevada for about 8 years. The engine (I think it is a 2.4L) is freshly rebuilt as is the transmission. Was the 915 standard for that year? What can be done with a car like this? What engine size will it accept if one wanted to go larger?

a '70E chassis w/ a '72S engine, complete & sorted, could be a very nice car. I'd get an expert evaluation, examine it completely and go from there. 901 is original, but 915 trans is fine & appropriate for a 2.4S. find out if it still has the hydro-pneumantic frt susp (a drawback, can be converted).
other than that, you don't give us enough info to make an accurate estimate of value (at best a guess anyway). check out Excellence magazine's last market report on the 70 model 911s.
if the engine runs ok, I wouldn't go to a bigger engine right away - drive it for awhile & figure out the condition & needs of the whole car.
if you don't want it, have the owner put on our classifieds, might find a good home...
