FWIW, I got this in e-mail from a local SF Bay Area Porsche dealership a couple of weeks ago:

Congratulations! You have been selected to receive a very special oil and filter change offer. Normally this oil change service is $169.00 dollars for most Porsche's. For a very short time only this is being offered to our Special Customers for only $89.95. (most porsche vehicle's) This is the same oil change service with Factory Parts and Mobile 1 full synthetic motor oil.

Not sure how I became one of their "Special Customers" as I've never spent one thin dime there

I think they mean it would be special if you became a customer.

Don't know what to tell you guys. I have two years of oil changes since I took delivery of the car, and both include adjusting tire pressures and topping off all fluids. Total charges are $156 for the first one, and $163 for the second one.

If people are saying they pay $500 or $600 for an oil change, I think they're leaving out some important details.

Call up some dealerships in your area and ask them what they charge for an oil change service on a 2007 911. I'll bet you get a response in line with what logan2z was told.

Well that is what Canadian dealerships charge unforunately. So needless to say the independants do well here.

Abe,--have that guy get a note to me. I've been into my fusebox (and beyond!) several times on my 997. Not all of us just write-checks! (And I do my own oil changes)
