Unplanned, but my last set of BBS wheels on one of my old Taurus SHO's is in the poster behind...

So tonight, I'm going to finish cleaning up the wheels & seal them up, hope to drop them off for mounting & balancing on Saturday if the cure time on the Dow 832 is 24 hours. If not, I've waited this long, maybe I'll drop them off, tell them to hold them until Monday before mounting them up & pick them up early next week.

So, any news on when you get Ruby back?

I'll call him when I get to the airport to head home tonight for an update. I'm optimistic it will be sometime next week.

Well, the shocks are back from Bilstein, the struts are supposed to be back Monday or Tuesday, so it looks good for next week.

Funny thing though. I'm headed home from the airport last night up I-5. About 3/4 of a mile ahead, I'm sure I see my car getting on the freeway. I nail the gas to catch up, but false alarm. Same color, bright trim and brushed finish on the Targa bar of a longhood. My car was a paint to sample with the retro trim, so it was a true ancestor of Ruby:

Awesome news Ed.

I, of course, am still waiting for mine...

But, I got the 1st 16x9 resealed. The rest go together today. I might bring down the 1 wheel to get mounted & balanced to make sure I got it right though before doing the rest.

I'm back home, and all stocked up on Porsche Karma. Today was a success on a beautiful '89 Coupe...

Not done yet....the struts are the delay, but I think they got in today. I'm slated to pick her up Friday.

Well, Jae got her done last night. I went down and took her for a quick spin, but I won't pick her up until tomorrow or Friday.

At any rate, she came up in height about 10mm. The new 255's on the rear were going to be an issue on the LH side, so to be on the safe side, I gave him the go ahead to do it if needed. She felt good. Nothing dramatic of course, in that I'd already done a lot to the suspenders, the main change here being the custom valving on the Bilsteins.

The spindle work did seem to improve things. On one of our lovely roads here, there seemed to be less bump steer, but it wasn't terrible before. When I get a chance to try her on some back roads in some turns on uneven pavement, I'll be able to prove out exactly how different she is.

But, the one aspect that really did come thru was what the toe change did. I was about 1.5mm in on each side before; now I'm 1.5mm total. The front almost felt like some kind of power assist was added. Turning was a lot easier. They told me on the cars that get zero toe for track only, it is even more noticeable.

At any rate, here she sits, nice and TALL in the saddle. Maybe time for some off-roading? She's ready to go do battle in the hills Saturday as a shakedown, and then on to the track in Fontana on 6/15 for a real workout.

Crummy phone pics:

Oh, 2681lbs with a 1/2 tank and her 85lb rollbar....not bad with stock bumpers and body parts intact.

I love that last pic!!! I have about 1/32" toe on mine in the front and rear. It looks like you have almost 2 deg neg in the front and 1.5 or so in the back. Wild stuff!!! Yeehaaww!!

The ride height looks perfect off of the wheels. Very nice.

+1 on the height - I prefer the look better than "too slammed", personally.

I just dialed out too much camber and Ed is adding it in. This weekend I'm droppin' the rear an inch or so. The stinkbug look has got to go on mine.

Yes? ( :meek: )

Personal preference Ed, I like seeing just about 1/2" of air gap between the tire & the fender.
