I tried this recently and it worked OK

Ecobra
Abrasive Fibreglass Pencil
A fiberglass abrasive stick housed in a propelling pencil type case
Designed for removing protective lacquer coatings on PCB boards prior to
repair and generally cleaning copper track for soldering
Spare fibreglass sticks available (Pack of 5)

...there are many solvents out there to do this, as well. In combination, it works great.

How thick is the coating on the CC module? Have you had a chance to yet
look at it?

Sorry to get OT on the thread.

Best,

Doyle

OT, sorry. I mean Old Tee, sorry for going...um OT. ah nevermind.

The CC coating is really thick as if it was brushed on there. Can I get the fiberglass pencil at an electronics supply store? I'm going to go look for one. I like being able to modulate the pressure applied. No sense in removing all of it, and there is a lot of other stuff that looks like it might soak up a solvent. Not good.
