Also holds about 150 gallons of windshield washer fluid.

Turn signal keeps flashing or just stays lit on that side?

My old 63 VW Notchback had the side parking light activated by the turn signal for parking on the street at dusk or at night.

Forcing owners to find new and inventive ways to haul golf clubs...

Currently, I put my driver/woods in the front boot, lay my irons/putter on the rear floor, and put my bag on the back seats folded down. Love every minute of it.

I sense some boastful comments/pics from Targa and Cabrio owners coming shortly...

Who would of thought of using a magnesium case with thermal reactors. True learning experience when you are rebuilding a 2.7 engine. By the way also expensive to have it done right.

Early 911s give you the feel of riding in the cockpit of an airplane, and if you have the SSI heat exchangers there is no sweeter sound when you driving down the highway.

During blizzard conditions you have to select 1-2 gears lower than usual just to keep enough heat in the cockpit!

Does that actually work? I found all I had to do was have a coat and gloves on.

Many many years ago I was heading east out of Vail, CO and wound up literally following a blizzard. I think the temp was about -20ºF. It was very cold. The 2.7 engine I had just could not develop enough warmth in 5th gear so I had to drive it in 4th or even 3rd sometimes just to keep things reasonable inside.

The corollary to all this is the build up of snow and ice in the wheel wells. Use extreme caution if driving these cars in a straight line (i.e., freeway) for a long time in such cold conditions. In time, you will build up a significant amount of ice in there with JUST enough clearance for the wheels to move,--to rotate around the axle. Should you need to actually TURN the front wheels (i.e., maneuvering) then look out!

I have to say that I absolutely do not miss the lack of heat exchangers on today's cars!

Very good catch! No one else caught that before you.

Also, the floor pedals are also off center. They fixed that in the 996, which was a shame, in my opinion.

Is this what you are referring too?
