Bell Crank Throttle Bushing Replacement any Tips/Pre-Cautions?
Hey Fellas,
I am planning on replacing my Bell Crank Housing Throttle Bushings. Any tips or pre-cautions.
I assume I should start at the Tranny then at the Pedal. WIIT I am placing those 3 plasitc guides in the tunnel.
TIA

the little white plastic bushings? Those are a cinch to replace. I take them off and clean them, relube with synthetic grease. You have to disconnect the throttle rod thing up top to get enough slack down below.

Not to sure about your car but I know on my, A G50, to replace the bushings at the tranny you have to take out the stud. If you take out the stud tranny fluid comes out. What I did was have an M8 (I think) bolt ready and as soon as I unscrewed the stud I screwed the bolt in a couple of threads. Didn't lose more than a drop.

Hey Rusnak,
Yes, the set of plastic bushing at the tranny and pedal. Thanks that is what I was looking for
Hey Old Man Neri,
Mine is a 915 tranny and from the diagram it appears to be held by a Cotter Pin. Thanks for the heads up. M8 ill be on stand by just incase.

Ya, mine was held on with a cotter pin as well. I just couldn't slide the whole crank off, there wasn't enough clearance. It kept hitting the trailing arm so I had to unscrew the whole thing.

Just jack up the left rear wheel until you can slide the lever off the pin. That said, I'm pretty sure that your bushings at the trans should be in good condition, no?
