Default Engine grill color

I have a 1980 911SC grey market car that I purchased in Jan of this year. I am just starting to bring it back from many years of neglect. All of my previous Porsches have been front engine water cooled. My question is a cosmetic issue.
I have a wale tail that I believe came with the original car. The the larger grill appears to be painted flat black but there are a few small spots where this has peeled off. Underneath is glossy black. So there is my question, which is correct glossy or flat.

Firstly Ealy scs never had a tail so it did come in the car . My guess it is an aftermarket. See if there is a Porsche crest in the rubber or written anywhere. As for colour I would go with Wurths Satin black.
This looks like a early turbo tail and if it is OE it could be worth a fair bit of money .

The tail looks period correct, but the rubber does not. If you feel that you must paint it, then I agree with Ice, semi gloss (satin) black would look great. I would probably leave it alone though.
