Tire pressures for 245/45-16 on 9"?
What pressure should I be running on 245/45-16 tires on Fuch 9"?
Factory with 7" 225/50 call for 36 PSI.
My centers are wearing when I run 36 psi, then I dropped down to 32 psi. Then I dropped down to 30 psi. Is Bruce Anderson correct when he says the centers bulge out when you drive at speed with too low pressure? He specifies when the pressure is too low the sidewalls are allowed to collapse and allow the centers to come out from the centrifugal forces when driving at speed?
I have noticed when powering out of a corner with 32 psi or lower I get terrible understeer...
Any comments?
TIA

Rear tire pressure on a 911 turbo with 9"x16" rims and 245/45-16 tires is 44 lbs cold! My wrench said the same thing, the center wears first on on the wide rears with low tire pressure. I used to run 40 lbs cold and 1.9 deg neg camber and mine wear evenly. Too quick but evenly

Thank you MARK!
That's what I thought, yet many people (including Tirerack, America's tire, Discount tire center) said to run what the manufacturer suggests on the car, even though the tires sizes are different.
Thanks again.
My next set, I will be running 44 cold.
