Ruby, and not because she is "Porsche's Ruby Red" in color...she isn't, she was a paint to sample.

Better than finding her naked at 16 in the back seat. :-P

BTW, mine is simply called "The Baby"

Professor Engfelt named the 1970 911S that he bought used in 1977 "Hester." I wouldn't call that car by any other name.

Hester is one of the nicest early 911s I've seen- the colors, condition and the period fog lights mounted in front of the horn grills- beautiful car!

no pet names, usually just:
the 911
the porsche or
the race car.

A while back my wife had a problem with "the" as a first name
and keeps changing it to "that f**king....
until she drove it at a DE,

now its back to "the" and an accepted member of the family

I call my car Oakie, but only out of frustration when something goes wrong. Like right now when my clutch pedal is all of the sudden going soft!

My car is named "Elsa". The name is from the movie "The Sound of Music"....Georg Von Trapp's potential fiance in the film - the blonde with no morals, and the demanding personality, Elsa Schräder.

"Elsa" is the pretentious, vindictive bitch borne of "old money" who insists on a never -ending stream of cash, frivolity, social opulence and pampering which the owner would likey die attempting to provide..but she is oh, so sexy....and just can NOT be ignored.

Yep, I think the name fits. Oddly, my wife explained this whole thing to me. I guess she is right.

"Elsa" it is.

Meet Patrick.

Here he is at his first home in the US after Factory delivery to the first owner in the summer of '71.

Next is a shot from the '74 Pocono Porsche Parade with the first owner recieving a first place concour award from Ferry.

Present day shot: all dialed in, shined up and ready for my first of many driving seasons.
