Aspect ratio nightmare.... When your angles are off by just a few degrees top to bottom it throws the whole thing off. In other words...If the cameras are not at the exact same position, it is almost impossible to double check this way. If I start distorting the angle of one to match the other I'll surely get it wrong.

It looks as if the 1980 Weissach Coupe script is low on the engine lid, and not half way as it appears on the factory diagram.

DOUG: Great attempt! I had wondered about that but what you've done is very cool.

I did a triple-take on the gold car (bottom pic) before I realized that it must be a scanned film photo with a backwards negative! The one-piece early tail does certainly make a difference visually...

The red Targa with Turbo-twist wheels and sheepskins is exactly what I wanted to avoid!

Pete:

I had to lighten and reduce contrast on the gold Weissach Coupe until you could see the emblem clearly. I also had to flip it around so that you can compare it to your shot.

I **think** you have to lower yours about an inch or so, but Doug is right, we might need another shot of your car at the same angle as the Visok frame.

OK, I've walked behind the car about a hundred times and I think the 105mm dimension works well with the two-piece tail. Now I'm debating using non-removable two-sided sticky tape, or one of those tape (removable) pieces that come with 3M plastic hooks. Hmmmm...

I think there is an automotive double stick tape that is thinner than the household foam tape, and fairly strong.

Found some! The project is done - I think that I'll take the car for a drive today! Cheers!
