Question Squeak in dash area??

Somewhere inside the right side of my dash area ('80 SC Coupe) - there's a constant squeak. No rhyme or reason to it. It sounds like plastic or leather against metal, maybe? Seems to be coming from somewhere behind the glove box and the heater vent alongside the window.

I've looked all around in there and experimented by placing small pieces of cardboard in suspicious areas - but no luck!

Has anyone had this problem - and any suggestions?? Its a little iritating.. and forces me to turn on the radio - when i'd rather just hear the engine.

thanks for any help,
Maurice

I have had this problem for a while. After closer inspection of the glove box, I noticed the clamp that hold it in was lose. I tightened it up and the squeaking stopped. The clamp is accessable under the dash. Worked for me.

Cool

I have it as well, but never managed to know where it came from. I was suspecting a loose blower, but I´ll doublecheck the glovebox thingy
