'71 911T Transmission Woes
Hi there,
Still working on that '71 911T transmission issue...turns out that the engine is the correct 2.2l '71 engine, but the trans is from a '68 (serial # 328-1353). I have a line on what I think is a solid '70 trans (serial # 519-3189) for a good price instead of getting the 68 rebuilt, but Im wondering...if it is a '68 on there now does that mean that there had to be modification from the factory setup to go from '71 (pull type) to the '68 (push type)? If so, should I be considering switching back to the pull type tranny from '70-'71, or am I better off just rebuilding the '68? Any advice on this matter would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Jamie
