I had a local AC shop make hose for me from my old connections. I have no idea exactly how they did it, but they used Goodyear AC hose of similar O.D. and it has worked well.

If you are considering something along the lines of a Goodridge 910 or like PTFE smoothbore with braid, although we have never tried it, I would not recommend it "nor does Goodridge" (quote).
Although the 910's pressure and temperature ratings are good for the application, I don't believe they have documented capability for this type of application; considering leakage rates as an assembly and not just the hose. Other issues you may run into, again never tried here, is fitting compatibility as well as sealing issues between the hose bore and fittings. R134a or R12 as a gas permeates rather easily as compared to a liquid. This is not to say it can't be done but it would require some testing.
Besides appearance, why did you have 910 or like styles in mind?
