Default parking light right

i have no power to the right parking light fuse. is it common for it to be anything but a failed wire from the light switch to the fuse box?

There is a diode on that wire, located under the dash near the light switch. That diode has failed - if you order a replacement from your P-car dealer having the new one in hand will help you locate the old one.

Default parking lights

thank you. one quick question: does that diode fail and is always failed or can it be intermitant before it totally fails? that power was off one day back the next and then gone since.

I never had a customer report an intermittent, but then, most of the time we located the problem during the safety inspection part of the minor/major services that we did - the customer never realized those lights had stopped working!

Zim,
the local dealer says that part is discontinued and i have to get it from an aftermarket supplier. i looked online at automotion and didn't see it. any ideas? oh yeah, the diode is the problem, power going in, nothing coming out.
thanks,
tom
