Default Deck Lid

IM having a Duck tail installed on my Sc that came off an early car it looks like it wont fit from where the mounting bolts where on the early car. My question is are the hingens from the early cars to the Sc differ ? lost and confused I thought they where all the same.

They should be. Maybe that's why you're not getting any comments...we're all puzzled?

My guess is the fiberglass lid needs a lot of work. My limited experience with FG parts would make that very believable.

If you get an answer on Pelican post it here, too.

The hinges have not changed in anyway that affects your installation. BUT, keep in mind that each of these tails needsto b custom fit to the car. You will have to shave some fiberglass off the sides of the decklid to get a better fit without it rubbing. Also, remember to fit a rub strip or piece halfway down the side of the engine opening to give the lid something other than paint to rest upon (and rub upon). Take your time or have a professional shape it for you.
