Hope I'm not butting in.
I recently upgraded suspension on my stock 87 Carrera like this:
22/29 Sander Engineering torsion bars
Lemforder turbo tie rods
Bilstein Sports front and rear (green front, yellow rear)
17" 8/9 inch Fikse wheels with 215x45, 245/40 Nitto NT01
The only thing I would have done different is 7.5 front wheels as 225/45's on 8's rubbed inside wheel well on driver side and both front fender lips. I dropped down to 215's to solved the problem.
What is the advantage, if any, to Bilstein Sports/HD's vs all Sports?
After realignment and 4 corner balance, handling is exceptional - stock bushings all around.
Net result is "a new car" that tracks much different / much better especially in long corners. Ride is firm, but not uncomfortable. I like it.
