Default GETTING TOGETHER FOR A DRIVE SECTION

Too bad there isn't a specific section about getting together for porsche owners. That way, a post on that section will alert everyone about going for a weekend drive. I see that there is a racing section under General.

Good idea! In Middle Tennessess we call it a MTFR, or a Mid-Tenn-Fun-Run thread, that we try to revive monthly.

I am heading for Taiwan this week, but hope it is warm and dry enough to get together again toward the end of the month.

In MA / RI, we use the Northeast Regional section to coordinate these on the forum here, a thread on Pelican, and an email list put together by our local "coordinator". We have monthly runs, typically.

As a matter of preference, personally, I prefer a new thread per run, as it gets cluttered & diluted with chat also, but that's me.

Abe

in the left pane in the jump to: select your region and try posting there.
This is a global forum with people contributing from all over the world and on early 911s only . People posting about the local fun runs or get togehers I imagine would clog this forum pretty quick with little interest outside of the local region and you would moss the other porsche drivers in your region.
Mind you pics of the run after wards are always welcome

we have had a rennlist weekly get together in Toronto for about the last 3 years, even through the winter. we just run the thread on our Canadian forum.

I currently only go to two places on rennlist. here and my local region.

All the best

Thanks, I didn't know that site existed. I wish it was in plain view like the "red" highlighed site.

Yeah funny enough I ran into a rennlister today looking at pics of his engine rebuild on his laptop. After chatting with him he said the same. He now Knows about the regional.

Try the Regional Section as noted, start a thread that will run forever, and any time someone wants to organize a run, they post to it and everyone subscribed gets notified. The only catch is getting all your cohorts to subscribe...
