Who Builds Hot Rod 3.2's????

Burning Brakes
My 3.2 was converted to a 3.4 with cams by Andial in Fountain Valley. They now have a 3.2 to 3.7 conversion program.

Depending on what your looking for in a "hot rod" motor there are several proven performance engine builders out there. Some of them are:
Peter Dawe, PA
Speedwerks, NC
Sam S in AZ
Andial, CA
Supertec, CA
Jerry Woods, CA
There are others but these are the ones that spring to mind. I also can build you a very nice "hotrodded" 3.2/3.5 etc. to fit your needs.
My suggestion to you is that you make a list of your exact desires (horsepower, longevity, powerband, etc.) and list of potential builders, then make a lot of phone calls. If possible visit the shop your interested in having do your engine build and speak directly with the owner about your project and goals.

Give Mark Kinninger a call at Black Forest in San Diego. He's done 3.2's to near 250 HP at the wheels. Also: Jae Lee at Mirage International/San Diego. Both these guys can build a strong/durable engine. Both can be found in Google.

Steve Weiner of Rennsport Systems is a frequent contributor both to this board and Pelican. The shop is in Portland, OR and I wouldn't hesitate to ship my engine to him (or even to drive it to him) if I ever need the services of a rebuilder. They're not just a rebuilder, however. They can make a complete car for you if you want.

if you want to go 3.7, go with a set of P/C from Charles at www.lnengineering.com
they make fantastic cylinders.
3.4 can be a great motor, I love mine, but when I do it again, I will go 3.7. My 3.4 is more of a "character motor". It was built for great throttle response and a wide power band up to 7500. The 3.7 could be made similar but would have a bunch more torque.
Cheers

Andial no longer makes the conversion, which sucks because they are only a few blocks away from me, apparently cost was extremely high for very little results, especially after labor. Parts alone is half the price of a new motor lol. Very nice informative and honest people though
