My SC has over 240K, studs and rings have being replaced but she runs strong, as far as 25k miles for oil change if he's being using synthetic in the old day's they told you to change the oil every 25k miles replace filter every 5k and top off as needed.

I have 160K on my 3.2 and she is doing better then fine! Anyway, I had an instructor at the Glen one time with 280K on his SC and both he and his wife ran it in Black and Red and the thing was amazing!

It's easier to change when its just black oil logs coming out, less splatter mess.

Yeah, it would drive me crazy watching him do that...
He used Mobile 1 and was pissed it was so expensive, so just wanted to get his money's worth or something.

500+K on the transmission without a rebuild? That has to be some kind of record.

I had 224K on my 72 E Targa when I built it to RS spec. The only reason I tore it down then was because the valve guides were beginning to go. Had some smoke on deceleration.

I have about 200,035 on mine.

The engine is still going strong, but I think the tranny's going to need a rebuild in the near future.

I have a customer that has 423K on his 87 911, and he is the original owner.

The engine has never been rebuilt or opened, other than to adjust the valves and change the valve cover gasket.

It has gone through 2 clutches in its lifetime, the transmission was never rebuilt either.

He daily drives it and changes the oil religiously with Castrol 10W30, non synthetic.

Man, these stories are incredible! These cars really are bulletproof. I hope the 993's are, too - I want to drive mine forever...
