worth as much as your willing to pay , and worth what someone else will pay. You are asking questions that are impossible to answer with 2 pics. they are expensive to fix and the 2.7 911 unfortunately is considered one of the most undesirebale due to mechanical issues in the engine.
Go do some homework.. go look in the classifieds or online for Junker and pristine 1977 911s your answer will be there .

Then your homework should concentrate on the 2.7 lite engine. search here and Pelican. That could turn into a very expensive proposition. That is also assuming that angine does not have any pulled head studs right now

just kind of half kidding, the 2.7 is Notorious, but not for that reason. Magnesium case and aluminum cylinders expanding at different rates caused many of them to pull head studs right out of the case. to be done properly the whole engine has to torn down and inserts out in the case and machine work on the case. 10G easy by the time your done with the engine. a 2.7 would NOT be good project as your first 911 project. The no start could be any number of things all the way from bad gas to no compresion. This thing is a parts car at best as you say

i'd put another engine in it then and not mess with a problem engine, but how do they handle compared to 944's and 928's?

a different beast alltogether. a had a 944 for years and found it easy to drive fast. in most situations. The 911 is a different beast and more difficult to drive fast. But I will let the track guys with more experience than I talk to that point.

i just think that orange car looks cool, i dont think you can beat the 944 for handling, maybe the 928 handles better

it does but it is a TONNE of money to get there I am sure. You would be better off investing in an sc 78-83 as your first 911 . rock solid reliable or for a little more a Carrera. Definitely stay way from that heap you posted.
