What color is this 911?
Hello everyone, I have been in the market for a nice 911 for a while now and recently stumbled upon this site. I am glad that such a helpful and enthusiastic community exist for p-car lovers!
This newbie is wondering what color the 911 is in the following youtube link, is that a factory color, paint to sample? I love it and wish I can find one out there like this.

Appears to be Mexico blue. That would be period correct for an early Carrera model. But, there are a few other factory non-metallic light blues around. Might also be gulf blue, but gulf is lighter than the pics appear. Pictures lie however. Arrow blue (royal blue) is another, but that wasn't offered until later (assuming the Carrera is in its original color).

I call BS on that video... only a real 911 owner would catch it though .. that guy would take a week to fill the tank like that , he didn't have the gas pump head rotated 180 degrees :-)

One of these days we're going to have to have a rendezvous of Gulf Blue, Mexico Blue, Riviera Blue, Blue Turquoise, and such with them all in the same lighting conditions. These colors all can look very close in varying lighting conditions. What confirmed it for me was the vintage of that particular car. I recall Mexico Blue was a popular color (not that popular, but around a bit) during that era. Some Porsche blues didn't show up for many years.
Gulf Blue is virtually a baby blue, or powder blue. It's quite light. Riviera and Blue Turquoise (3AS, J1) can look very similar in varying lighting conditions unless you have them next to each other. Mexico Blue has been a perennial favorite, with several 997s being painted in that color today.

Not sure the shade of blue, but I am sure that the driver is certifiable - driving that fast without much margin for error with cars coming the other direction on an undivided two-lane road. I wouldn't ride with that dude under any circumstances. And what's with kicking the tires...? My audio wasn't working, which might explain some of this.

WTF is up with that video? A great example of perfectly good servers and bandwidth going to waste. And no respectable 911 driver would listen to that friggin' music...

I'm late to this party but I would have to agree with Edgy01... Mexico blue! Gulf is a little more pale.
