Car Pricing Help?

Car Pricing Help?
My father is trying to sell his 911... but we have no real idea what it's worth. KBB and NADA don't show pricing for European models. So I'm asking Rennlist's help. What is the car worth? Here's the details:
1985 Porsche 911 Carerra 3.2 Targa
32000 miles
European model, bought new, shipped over, and D.O.T. certified in 1985
Paint is in perfect shape
Exterior is perfect except for a small mark on the targa top
Targa top has NEVER BEEN FOLDED (the targa folds to fit inside the hood... we just leave it in the garage when driving)
Interior has had aftermarket floor mats and seat covers since about a month after purchase... Seats and carpeting are literally like new
It actually SMELLS new inside
all original
Garage kept all it's life (driven about once a week)
Includes all original extras in their original, unopened packaging: first aid kit, tool kit
So... What's it worth? (If anyone wants to make an offer feel free)

You could get a good idea from Black Book's Cars of particular Interest. They would deduct for the ZZZ VIN, but add the same percentage back for mileage. If it's as good as you describe it could be better than excellent, their highest category. If that's the case the age old rule still applies, it's worth what the market will bear and right now the market is soft. Good luck with the sale, but if I were you I'd hope it doesn't right away, unless you really need to sell it.

It is Red on Black leather...
I am not really a Porsche person so I don't know what the color is exactly but it looks like the color in the avatar in the post above this one... Kind of a red that's almost orange. If you know what I mean.

I sold an '84 cab this earlier this summer. I think the cars were pretty similar. Mine also was very low mileage and documented. Do you have the paperwork documenting the DOT and EPA releases? That certainly helps. I sold my car for $22,000. It was in pristine condition, with some minor upgrades, H4s with relay etc. Unfortunately, I think $25,000 would be pretty high,..especially for a grey mkt car. For whatever reason, they seem to be tainted in many people's eyes.
Good luck,..sounds like a great car.

It would seem that now is a good time for buyers, not sellers, so if he can hold onto it, I would encourage it. That said, this sounds like a car a "consignor" type shop would be asking for $25K or more. But asking price likely wont equal selling price in this down economy. Not sure why the stigma for ROW cars.. unless people DON'T like the additional 30 or so hp

The car IS for sale but the purpose of this thread is to find out what to ask, not to sell it to anyone here. If a rennlist member buys the car I will pay whatever necessary to rennlist.

I would start higher. Even in this market, I think you could get more for such an example with those miles and provenance.
I think Euro models are more desirable for the informed buyer, because of the enhancements.
