Post Carrera 3.2 specs (1984-1987)

I'd appreciate any help in sourcing a comprehensive list of tech specs for the 911 Carrera 3.2 produced between 1984 and 1987. If you're able to help, please email me:

For tech specs for the 911 Carrera 3.2 produced between 1984 and 1987, Performance Products, Van Nuys, CA USA sells the Porsche (Factory) Technical Specifications booklet for $24.95. It is product number 901279. It contains US as well as RoW (Rest of World)specifications. Their phone number is:800 523 3173, or www.performanceproducts.com

If you really want the detail, buy the Porsche Carrera Service Manual, part # 910399 @ $119.95, or better yet, the Porsche Factory Repair Manual(s)...lots of $'s $300+ for the set.

My 88 has 217 HP which I think is right. Don't know about the 0-60.

(numbers are the same in Porsche 911 3.2 Carrera - The last of the evolution, by Tony Corlett)

0-60mph
911 Carrera 6.1 secs (facgtory)
911 Club Sport 6.2 secs (Car and Driver)
Cabriolet 7.0 secs (factory)
Turbo 5.5 secs (factory)

9/10's slower for a cab vs. a coupe? That sounds like too much of a difference to me.

I checked my '89 book and it stated 214HP/195TQ.

It stated 6.1 for coupe and no spec for cabrio. It also said 6.1 was at half of the allowable total load capacity of 660lbs (330lbs in this case)

I'm sure most of us aren't running with 330lbs in there with one passenger and any other goodies you may have in the car.

I usually run without a spare tire, tool kit, jack, when just around town anyway.

Wow, this is an old thread. I think PorscheUSA.com lists factory literature now available again, including the spec book.
