Default What is this thing?

Pictures taken from the hood area, looks like there's a crack, possibly with brake fluid in it. Brake reservoir? Please forgive my lack of P knowledge..

What is this?

Yup, brake reservoir. Doesn't look like a crack, looks like either paint dribble or perhaps a long thread of some sort.

you are correct...BF reservoir.

You sure that's a crack? No leaks?

Best,

Looks like a pubic hair soaked in brake fluid. Maybe it came from an area with a crack near it.

Try and pick it off with your fingernail. If it comes off, problem solved.

LOL. Oh man, that's funny!

So nothing to be alarmed about? It was taken by someone checking out a car for me. He also doesn't know 911s. Is it normal to have brake fluid dribble on the outside though?

It could be something as simple as being overfilled, or even spilled when someone topped-off the brake fluid. It would take a more hands on type of look to really know what it what with the fluid. Tony.

Using my amazing powers of deduction,

I believe you can see where the line continues over the reservoir.

I think it's a thread from the new looking carpet.

Nothing to worry about at any rate. Call the owner and ask him to pick it off and take another photo if you're worried.
