Default Speedo wire removal

I have a 1981 SC that needs the speedo repaired. There are 3 three wires on the back that have red bases. When I pull on the wires, they seem spring loaded but do no pull out. How do I remove them?
Thanks
Mike

Those are the bulbs but you don't pull them out by the red bases. There appears to be a metal ring under the red base. Take a swiss army knike and put it between the metal back of the speedo and the round metal ring and pry it up. It should come out quite easily.

Thanks very much. I did as suggested and and the whole unit for the bulb came out slick as can be. It is not very obvious how it works. I appreciate the help. The speedo is set to be sent off for repair.
