wiper blades ? PIAA
I have always used Bosch regular wiper blades, they seem to 'not' chatter like others. Usually I replace them each fall.
I have a 2005 Ford with the original OEM blades still working fine over FOUR YEARS. I understand they are Valeo. I'll try to buy the Ford OEM ones for replacement when needed. I read some place they are good for 500,000 wipes.

I want to order some parts and new wiper blades for the 911.
I am considering PIAA silicon ones which are available in 13". Valeo not available in 13". PIAA are claimed to be good for 230,000 wipes but are ~1/2 price of Valeo. Silicon seems like a better material than rubber due to UV deterioration but rubber may be more pliable in cold weather (I'm in N. Cal so cold is not issue).
Any experience with PIAA or others ?

just be careful when modifying longer blades.
I've found out the hard way that even the slightest kink or bend in the metal strengthening bar means streaky windows. doh!
will be a bit less heavy handed next time

instead of answering your question, I ahve another similar question. I think I saw Autozone has some silicon one for twice or more the price of the normal one. Maybe $20 or $30 instead of $10 bucks. Has anyone use them? Do they really last longer?

I am thinking about doing the Valeo wipers on the 325 BMW. We have OEM Bosche, and they need to be replaced every 6 months to a year.
