Looking at a 94' Porsche 911 turbo 3.6 and a 96' 911 turbo. Anyone know which is better in terms of reliability and performance? Also, does anyone know if there are any known problems associated with these 2 cars?

96 =4WD & 408 HP
94 = 2WD and less HP. I do know that the AC is better on 96TT.

Although both are great cars.

993's are going to be the true collectors in that line of cars. 993 twins are still highly coveted cars. Personally, one of my favorite cars. I thought hard about a used 993 twin when I bought by Cayman (roughly the same price) but I went new because mine is going to be a daily driver and I really can't budget for expensive repairs on a used twin turbo with 50-60k miles.

Stock...performance and reliability...newer is better.

...but personal preference over rides everything else. I would rather have an '89 Turbo.

The '94 3.6 Turbo is a collectible and as such, cannot be fairly compared to the 993TT in any way.

The '94 is a much more raw experience compared to the more civilized, but FAR more complex 993TT.

Its really all about what you want in a car,....

Both are durable cars if taken care of properly.
