Default Radio Codes '88 Carrera

I pulled the radio, but did not disconnect any electrical leads, from my '88 911. Now the radio will not work. It has power but won't display a station or make any sound other than static.

The radio code form is blank so I'm not sure if it had a theft code and wouldn't think I had tripped it if I didn't disconnect any wires.

Any thoughts on this problem?

a common trick by mechanics is to write the radio code on the options sticker under the hood. You may want to start there.

If it was a code problem it would display code on the radio. You also would have no sound at all, not even static. I would disconnect power and reset the radio. If you get static but no station display, that is an internal problem in the radio.

pull it out again and see if the antenna lead fell off...
